Wheelie Tip

This won't help out the guys that can ride wheelies for blocks but for those who are struggling with first and second gear wheelies it might be useful. My big problem with wheelies on my fiddy was and still is rear brake control and basically I have little. I am one of the guys who never really used it on my big bike so that translated over to the fifty. Shitty thing on fifties is that it is really important for wheelies, especially first gear ones. I also learned today that it is important for second gear wheelies as well when I looped the fiddy at 20mph. I've tried ignoring the front brake to teach myself the rear but old habits come back quickly and when I was wheelying, my mind just didn't think about the rear brake.

So anyway, today my friend was rolling stoppies on my fiddy and crashed it, braking off the front brake lever. Kind of sucks but when given lemons make some vodka lemonade. Since I didn't have a front brake for the rest of the day I had to rely on my rear brake only and after about a hour I was riding wheelies longer and farther than I ever had. So, the tip is, take off your front brake lever if and ride around for a while if you need to learn to use the rear brake instinctively. May sound dumb but if worked for me.
