disc brakes
anybody usin them or riddin one that had them? my rear brake sucks and id like to get disc on the rear. is there any kind of ghetto rig disc brakes that i coul do without spending too much? any thoughts
Re: disc brakes
I run them on my dirt jumper front and back. they grab like a mother F***er!
But if your thinking of running a rear disk for stunting i think its a bad idea. I was wheeling my jumper the other week and riding on my rear for a little while and i heated my pad up pretty bad and it started stinkin and lost a lot of braking power. the rear disk sucks for stunting. you cant glide on them for too long to balance a wheelie out. youll just rip through pads like nothing.

Re: disc brakes
the reeg disc caliper and rotor use the same mounting as a mountain bike disc, the only tough part would be adapting the rotor to the hub
ohh, ohhh, and avid mechanical on a fifty would be marvelous, they own for power and longevity
