fiddy wheelies

just got mine yesterday, how are you guys starting off in 1st gear? i been holding my feet on ground till it come sup and then picking up my feet, i can get em about 50 yards or so, but whenever i try to get my feet on the pegs i fall sideways or front end just drops, got any pointers? my legs dont seem to fit in there with stock bars.

how long did it take to get wheelies on lock?

Re: fiddy wheelies

You can convert it to a manual transmissio, but all the kits Ive seen are expensive.

I personally think it wheelies better in second gear. Now if I could get it to stay up Id be happy.

Re: fiddy wheelies

the reason for your side to side is lack of practice and first gear speed....it will come just practice

Re: fiddy wheelies

MeKrew is right, practice your ***** off. I learned and can do them for days. I never once looped it either, drive the bike in every gear and in every position you can, get the feel of it. I am 6'2'' 190, so 2nd gear is best for me, although now I can do them in 3rd at any speed. It's all about pulling up on the bars insync with the throttle, then feather the rear brake, its takes PRACTICE. Don't expect to learn in a day and don't get frustrated. I have had mine for a month in a half and can do a lot of **** on it, just practice everyday man! Good luck!

Re: fiddy wheelies

so is everybody usin the clutch or just yankin on the bars? i was tryin the clutch earlier today, keep knockin it in the next gear.

its harder than i thought, i expected to be ridin em at least as good as my streetbike

Re: fiddy wheelies

hehe easier to wheelie street bikes.. I wouldent reccommend using the clutch because its to jerky.. just sit back far and lean forward alittle then in one smooth motion lean back and throttle up it comes.... its keeping it there without looping thats the fun part... i just need to use the rear brake!! cant make my self use it!

Re: fiddy wheelies

For about the first week I had my fifty I couldn't wheelie past maybe 25 yards, then I put a twelve bar on it, did a few twelves, and all of a sudden I could ride wheelies for days just had to realize that I wasn't getting the wheel high enough... just practice and you'll get it...

Re: fiddy wheelies

I put street slicks on my fiddy and it helps a lot on pulling a wheelie. Maybe because its just more stable than the knobbies are. The knobbies are way to rough and bumpy for the street. I pull 2nd gear wheelies with no problem, like everyone says takes practice before you'll get *** good as me! LOL

Re: fiddy wheelies

I like first gear slow stuff. I can do em better in second, just feels cooler going slow. It is raining out alot so I practice in a shed with loose gravel and a farm equidpemnt all over. Swerving through it doing a wheely is good pratiee.

Re: fiddy wheelies

right - put some street tires on it....10x2.75 Hoops, if not - lower the air pressure a bit - it will help correct the side to side motion.

go to the stuntlife store and buy a big bar kit - Fast 50s is pimp.
then buy a rear Heavy Duty spring and put it on.

Pull it up high, throtle it and pull it back, ride the rear brake.

PS - grow some *****.....LOL.....he is right - you can have all the correct stuff = but if you do not go for it - you will never get it.

My personal best is at 3/4 of a mile. I think i can get a mile easy but I forget and then do some kinda combo and mess it up....lol

But everyone on here is correct.....just takes practice.

Ask Rodger - he is one of the best 50 riders in the nation - if not the best.
