Rear brake not strong enough during 12's???
Rear brake not strong enough during 12's???
The brake is strong enough to balance in a wheelie for sure..but when going all the way back, I have a problem coming back down........
I pop it up to balance point, go back a bit further and start feathering the rear brake and slowly go back further, a little at a time, real smooth. Then, I get back to where I'm a few inches from scraping and then I will SLAM the rear brake and I still go back and fall back on my ***.
I'm thinking that for the rear brake to bring me down when the bike is that high up, I'd have to have some speed behind me, instead of going real slow. Also, could it be that my weight is too much for the rear brake to bring the bike back up?
I didn't know if I was the only one with this problem.
I don't really want a 12 bar so I'm just curious what you all do.

Re: Rear brake not strong enough during 12's???
I bet it's cause you're in first gear and you're revvin pretty high. The engine cannot wind down fast enough to stop ya, try the same wheelie and 2nd gear and you won't have the problem.
