Kick Start

I wanna get a dirt-bike style kick start cus my pants keep getting caught on the stock one. Is there a cheaper alternative like cr80 or something else I can take off of? Most companys want too much for a piece of metal.

mekrews got it... align your kicker with the swingarmso only the foot piece is sticking up... still clears the ground and doesnt catch pant legs anymore just my

Exactly that is how mine is, you just take off the bolt at the end of the kick start, and slide it off. The kickstarter and the place you slip in on has teeth, so you have to align it to whatever position you like it. Then put the bolt back on and your off. Dont spend money on a new kickstarter when you can just do that....

Re: Kick Start

I may not be smart, but I'm not stupid. Of course I knew u could unbolt and adjust the kickstart. I'm wanting a kickstart that is tucked up closer to the engine so it's not in the way. I was wondering if any ol' dirtbike kickstart would work. But thanks for the help anyway.

I think it all depends on the diameter of the hole in the kickstart. What i would do is measure the spot where you slide the kickstart on, then maybe if you have an ol' junkyard by you go and see if you can find one that fits. Or you can order a BBR kickstarter, they dont get caught in your pants.
