Got the headlight on and working! pics

Winding the stator was really easy. Probably only took an hour or so to do. The acerbis headlight looks cool I think. It's really bright. Also, you dont NEED any special tools to get the flywheel off. I got a flywheel puller from the dealer but them basterds gave me the wrong one and i had to wait 2 weeks to get it anyway when they said it would be in in 3 or 4 days. But anyway....you can use a C-clamp to hold the flywheel while u take the nut off and to pop the flwywheel off just pry against the bottom of it with the screwdriver puttin the pressure on a bolt head in the lower right corner. This way you wont break anything.

That "thing" is a 5in thick hunk of foam on top of the stock seat, covered in vinal (sp?). It's way more comfortable than my friends bbr tall seat. It does look a bit funny though but i dont care

Re: Got the headlight on and working! pics

I actually like the BBR full seat quite a bit compared to all the other seats out there.

i'll most likely stick with stock on mine though.. the shape of it makes it nicer for seat standers and no handers and stuff

Yea, the only problem with mine is that it doesnt grip as much as stock, so one handers and stuff is a bit harder.

Its got a voltage regulator ziptied to where the key went and a toggle switch ziptied to the bars. The headlight is actuallly a 35w high and low beam wired so they're both on.

I wound it myself. I'm guessing it put out 80-100watts, but i dont have that engine anymore. My new engine is a lifan and the stator broke and i havent decided if i want to spend the $60 to fix it...

I got an i-shock and MR50 forks. It's about 2" taller front and rear. Just about perfect IMO.

I got his old engine, it puts out around 75 volts. I mounted a 55watt halogen foglight on it, and its just a bright as my street bike. I took the stator out of the engine and have wound two others by looking at this one. Thanks again Ben.

Yep...I miss having a working headlight.... Are you running a voltage regulator too?

Yeah. I went and got the regulator that moose sells. Gonna work out some sort of led taillight next, just got to figure out where I want to mount it.
