Re: vented valve caps

To relieve crankcase pressure. When you go bigger than 50cc's the engine tends to build up a lot of pressure and start leaking oil.

Re: vented valve caps

if your crankcase has no
vent then you should run one
but most of the newer fiddys have a vent already
lil black hose on the back side of the motor

Re: vented valve caps

heres one i made, just drilled and tapped the stock one and put a stainless steel braided line to make it look nice, also polished up the cap and used an empty NOS octance booster bottle. filled it up with foam and drilled little holes at the end and made it a custom filter breather. So this way at glimps it looks like it has NOS to fool people.

Re: vented valve caps

i built my own too, cost me $4. but after a while of riding w/ it on i took it off, i don't know if the hole was too large or what but enough oil would reach the end of the hose that it would leak a small puddle on the floor everytime i parked it (not cool). too bad though i was really happy w/ how it came out but oh well... i had the hose running alongside the frame to the very back where the engine mounted... https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/174-fiddy-tech-help-how/54955-oil-condensation-coming-out.html the breathers are supposed to help save the oil seals from pressure buildup.
