Snow Troubles

Well ive been able to ride my 50 in the snow all day with like anything up to 5 inches, well we got about like 7+ inches now is some spots, and i can ride in it pretty decently but my 50 keeps sucking up snow, caking the air filter with snow and ice and making it run like ****. well i cleaned it all up melted the snow off the filter and dried it. then tried wrapping a nylon over the intake of the airbox and but that gets snow and ice on it and then it runs like crap. so now i cant ride my 50 in the snow because we have too much, anyone having this problem or figured a way around it?

what type of air filter are you running? Foam(Uni) or fiber(K&S)?

3 inches i can hit 3rd gear, its not really 7 all over, prolly average of 6. but once you get going you wont stop, i have to down shift to first alot tho, im definatly not moving as fast as yesterday tho when there was less snow.
