Z Stoppies
Z Stoppies
Can anybody do these? I've got the front tire air'd down a little bit and the front brake is tightened as far as it'll go without dragging the wheel.
I'm full clamping the brake pinned in 3rd, bouncing the seat, shifting my weight forward, and the only time I can get the rear tire airborn is if I push my thighs hard against the handlebars after it's almost stopped, but it doesn't stay up.
This is ****ing annoying. I wonder if I can fit the Xr front wheel and brake on the Z?

Skinny street tires will solve the problem. I just put 3.50 X8 street tires on Duc-Mans Z and I started doing them although 3 or 4 feet isn't much.. Its hard to do them with the knobby tires...also let some air out of your front tire. You also have to be going at a decent clip to do them.

I'll have to check out getting street tires in the future, I don't think I wanna get rid of knobbies until winter is over.
I want you to try it on my Z then, I don't think it's technique, but I've been wrong before. I mean what more can you do if you've got the lever pulled all the way to grip and bounce on the seat?
well the brakes on these things dont grab real well. The trick is to be pinned in 3rd and SNAP the bike up real fast to balance point being on the brake as little as possible, you want to get it up to balance right away and get off that brake. Then I push on the bars or lean back to stay balanced. Staying on the brake the way you would on a big bike is going to get you about 5'-10' you aren't going fast enough in the first place and the brakes suck.
i used to do like 70ft on mine but its pretty hard
