Can anyone tell me the difference between the different make of CDI boxes? Does one preform better than the other or does one pull harder ect.? If it matters i just installed a 88cc Hyper-S Stage Big Bore Kit w/Cam&Carb(18mm Keihin Carb). I'm also looking into stiffer clutch springs as well, is anyone running these as well? Do they make that much of a difference?

I have the Takegawa's 88 S-stage combo kit too.I think is a good choice to buy takegawa's hyper C.D.I. box too.It makes a stronger spark and makes it rev to higher RPMs. The stiffer clutch springs is a good idea, grabs all the power insted of letting it slip away. And one more thing you forgot to list, its a good idea to buy Takegawa's hyper oil pump at the same time too, (I herd you can breake the motor after 3 weeks of rideing with a big bore kit,and with out a oil pump).

there are people here that have the 88 kit without the pump and they have been rocking their bike for a while with out it.

The stock oil pump is more than good enough to handle the big bore. I've been doing it almost every day for 2 months. I just put in the bigger oil pump though because I was in there anyway putting in the Heavy Duty Clutch Springs.
