Dude,

Get a set of BMX bars off ebay.

I bought a brand new pair of GT BMX bars off there for $15 and they are awesome.

i hate the look of the big'ol bmx bars, but when i bend up the stockers i'll get something different. what size are the stock bars anyway? the fast50s site has 6,7 & 8" bars but i don't know how that compares to stock, and aren't some of the tripleclamp mounts taller than others? that's quite a few variables to sort out when deciding on what setup you want/need the most. gixxernick where did you get the s&m bars? got any more pics?

Potential S&M bars are regular BMX bars like DK, GT, Haro, etc.
I didnt know you could use regular BMX bars. I thought the BBR Fast 50's etc had a stronger than BMX bar and was made for a 50. If thats the case i will buy some rgular BMX bars and buy the clamp throttle cable throttle grip etc..

If you have either of these kits let me know how you like them.

Whats the benefit to the Billet throttle >?

You need a different throttle than stock with the BMX bars if you have a XR/CRF because the aftermarket handlebars are different diameter. Thats why billet throttles are so popular. Most aftermarket bars are 7/8 except Renthall which are like 1 1/16 or something.

My z50 has 7/8 inch bars stock so I can use the stock throttle assembly which is nice. My BMX GT bars are almost the same as fast 50's bars in fact I really think they are stronger. They definately seem thicker. Trust me buy a clamp and some BMX bars off ebay. You could even find a stock throttle from a Z50 for $10 which is way cheaper than a $70 billet one.

i got the BBR's but theyre wide and flat, you can always cut down the bars with a pipe cutter to the length you want, but im lookin to get some of the knee saver type the 7" rise is cool but the bbr's have almost no sweep, kinda awkward at first..

S&M bars are cool because they have a lifetime warranty and the owner of the company is a cool guy. :**** dans comp That place blows total corporate sell outs, not to mention they dicked around a bunch of riders starting there own companys. Go to www.trendbmx.com and check out there handlebars. AWESOME customer service too. I believe most bmx bars are like .064 thickness. You'll be able to find some S&M slam specials that are .083 and then if you call up hoffman bikes you could probably find some as thick as .125

I dunno when I was doing shows on my bmx bike it was cool to have 4 pegs and 2 brakes. Now everything is about how light you can get your bike.

I have the BBR complete set up. have only ridden w/the new bars twice, it takes a little getting used 2, but they seem 2 be cool. The BBR kit was very easy 2 install.
