crf 50 wont start w/ choke?

just got my 50 last week, runs fine and all, but the weird thing is it won't start when the choke is on. the damn thing will start up no problem when the choke is off (usually on the first kick), but when the engine's cold i have to baby it and keep giving it gas to keep it running, or it'll slowly die (like it needs choke). and if i start it up and try to switch the choke on it'll die off. any ideas?

1/2 choke brotha. You only need full choke until it fires then go half choke.

The 50 like to be warmed up. Just oin the throttle until it's warm you'll be golden.

YOu dont have to do wat the manual says. IF you dont need the choke dont use it and if you need to hold the gas (which u usually do to warm up a bike) hold it. I rev em up a couple time and go.

i haven't done anything to the engine, i usually tend to start it up and just ride off, takin it easy for the first two or three minutes. i was just wondering if anyone else has noticed that it's (usually) a lot easier to start w/out using the choke.

Perhaps your spring rate in you carb bowl is to firm. You may have to order a softer one for your weight.
