the only people who would even come close were ray fine and yamaha of stillwater, but they even said, well, come down, or up, whatever the case may be.....and we'll work out a deal......i was like, hmm, i may run up to stillwater, bc that is where i bought my last one...but i doubt they'll even come close, i mean, the only reason i'm going up there is to see if they'll give me a good deal on my gp1200r for a trade....

well, i see your point, but in oklahoma we don't pay tax at the dealer instate either, the tax is payed whenever you apply for tag and title....plus, i don most of my work on my own bike, it just realy pisses me off that no one around here will deal, then if you go somewhere else, they'll just push it back in your face, i mean, its not like i don't buy everything else from them, four wheelers, jet skis, other bikes etc....man, i know they've got to stay in business, and maybe i wouldn't be any better if i were in the business, but damn.....i guess i'm just a cheap bastard

i just read my post's from the other night and want to apologize for being a dick, i was alittle in the bag. and also very pissed . i have a dealer 15 miles up the road that is a blow out king. i had two customers that day that i spent the half hr to hour showing them the product, explaining how it works and test rides etc... one went to go to his bank and one was waiting for her husband to get off. both called dealer xx and the smoked my price. i called up acting like a customer and said i'd been to my dealership. the salesman didn't really know **** about the quad i wanted, financing but did manage to say oh we'll beat their price no matter what. that was the most unprofessional bullshit i've ever heard. i felt like driving up and punching him out.
price is not always the bottom line, service, repeat customer discounts etc........i remember 98%of my customers names, kids names, model etc.......that is the kind of service you pay alittle extra for. not to mention the knowledge to put you on the proper machine for your needs. anyone can say oh it's 1000 off. look for a real salesman people and remember we aren't getting rich, just trying to make a living doing something we love.

amen brother, it's the same way here. i can call and get quoted a couple hundred under dealer cost. now you and me both know that will change real quick when the customer gets there. and they get them in + out super quick before they know what happened to them. it's like smoke and mirrors. plus they dont know sh*t about what they are selling. any way, it's all good. i'll buy you a beer sometime
