well, it's somewhat official. we'll know Sept 10th. honda is rumored to come out with a 2nd fiddy in the lineup. a CRF50. it'll have little hopup parts like stronger suspension, accomodations for larger people....etc
this is straight from my honda reps mouth so i'm thinkin its true. the CBR1000RR (or CBR998RR) will be debuted....debued....(its too fuggin early in the morning)...day-byood sept 10th also. the dealer convention is in las vegas.
also rumored, but unlikely this year, is a completely redesigned superhawk powered by the RC51 motor and lotsa trick parts. i'm sure you've already heard of the CRF450R powered TRX450EX quad. we'll see pics, but they are unlikely to be on showroom floors until next spring.
most likely gone this year is the RC51 and the superhawk. the valkyrie is gone for 04 too, replaced by the rune. i'm awaiting a return email from my honda rep to confirm all this. but for now, it's 7am sunday morning and i'm hungover...goodnight

no price estimates as of yet. if i were to take an educated guess i'd say maybe 1300-1500. but, i guess i'd hafta be educated.

 

im getting my xr 50 today, i might have to sell in september if they come out with a crf50, im positive there coming out with the a new race quad tho.

 

yah the 450 quad is a definite, and they're still gonna offer the 400ex. expect the 450 to be around $6200

 

Honda was beaing stupid with there quads, they dont have one liquid cooled until now with the 450. If they makae a crf50 i wish it would be liquid cooled, stronger everything, bigger bars, better forks (maybe oil maybe not) and big bike monshock. yes, this would all come ata price but e4ven if it was a just a high compression 50 wioth bigger bars and stiffer springs it would be cool.

 

That might be rthe reason behind the new shrouds, liquid cooled, but i doubt it.

 

get a XR 50 or wait till the CRF50s come out??

i hope the CRF50 is all that its hyped up to be...though i doubt the conservative honda peeps will go all out on such a small market.
the downside is, there's also a rumor that the XR50 is just going to be rebadged as a CRF50. it's gonna happen with the other XRs. two weeks will tell

 

no, cause the site says that there are still xr400s (04 xr400 is on the site) and such , but, they have yet to put on xr100 and smaller sizes on so those could be the new crfs
