Reprodution xr50

I've been looking for a fiddy and I found some reproduction ones. Does anybody know anything about these? The guy says that you can't tell the difference. They're about 900 instead of 1300

Reproduction? "Can't tell the difference"? Either it's a Honda XR50 or it's not. It would be illegal to make/sale something so similar that you "couldn't tell the difference".

I'd be pretty skeptical... it can't be a real XR, so I'd think any aftermarket XR parts wouldn't fit it.

I got my fiddy for $1220 OTD and a buddy just got one for the same. I doubt you're going to get one much cheaper than that around here, unless someone has a sale or something.

Just pony up for the real thing... you'll be glad you did.

i think the extra weight is due to a battery. i saw one at the glen helen national and it had a battery mounted to the subframe. im not sure if it has electric start.

For the record... Cooper went to the warehouses in China, showed them exactly what he wanted and they made it. The dealer in my area has deposits on 40! Supposedly there are 500 on backorder... They won't be avail for another couple of months atleast. I'm curious... but don't really think they will hold up like a honda.

retail is 1899 ... they will be sold for 2499 unless you make deposit... 2099.
