i have a chance 2 get a z 50 for 800.00 is it a good deal its a 1998 and is in awsome condition. are there any problems with z 50s and stunting? . are they alot of maintnece like pocket bikes are?

 

I have a 97. When i bought it new you coudnt use first gear cause it would pop up. Nobody could really. My ddad and his freinds triead and they couldnt, some had 250s. They are sprung great but when they bottem u really feel it. The front has about 2 inches of travel but downt really bottem. You also cant really out all the stuff on like shacks and stuff unless u get a frame and a gas tank. But for wheelies and stuff mine works good.

800 is expensive....i can get a new xr50 for $880

 

i hate the look of the Z. and i've ridden a couple and i think they;re weird. xrs are comfortable and look rad, even stock.

 

Stock for stock, I'd agree. I almost bought a used Z50 before I got my XR. They are definitely more stiff (suspension-wise) and roomier than an XR. But put some springs and bars on an XR, and it's roomier and more capable than a Z.

So if you have no intention of modding the bike at all, you could save some cash and get a Z50. If you do plan on modding it, the XR is a far better package and has far more aftermarket support.

 

does the z fiddy have more torqe than a stock xr or does the xr have more torqe?i am lookin 2 stunt this pretty hard and i want a bike that will hold up.i dont really care bot the looks i just want a mini stunt machine .are there 12 bars u can buy for z 50s?I know u can put them on xr fiddys.

The motors are the same. I haven't heard of 12 bars for the Z, but somebody probably makes one... or you could make once yourself or something.

But if you really want a "mini stunt machine" the XR is definitely the choice!

 

i love my xr.....you gotta go with the honda....much easier to get aftermarket stuff.

I agree with nags on this one for sure.

I own a Z50 myself, and could of gotten a XR for the same price I paid for my '99. I have wrecked probably over 200 times, and I just pick it up and keep riding the thing....

I wish they made a big bike that is as strong as the Z50's!
