Unhappy Best stock carb for my crf88 and help

So the day i put the big bore kit on my fiddy was the day everything went to hell.. I havent been able to get to run right ever sense. I put the pit boss 88cc stage 2 kit on it and it idles fine but in high rpms it will boog down if u hit the gas to hard. So i tryed re jetting the 20mm carb that came with the bbk and it kind of fixed it but not all the way so i ordered a 22mm "munkie" or what ever its called off of ebay and it still does it. But now its only running for about a 30sec. It will start fine and run strong, besids the top end bog, intel i get down the street and let off the gas and then it just dies and wont restart for like an hour. This has really had me bummed out for like the past 3 mounths so some help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

O ya and would it be a good idea to run a stock honda xr80 or xr100 carb of something honda made, if so what one works the best?

You should get a bigger carb for it......I dont see the point in having a bigger engine, with the same amount of fuel........It'll run 100x's better set up the right way. =-)

When i put the bigbore kit on it i went from the stock 16mm carb to the 20mm that came with the bbk then i thought it still needed more fuel so i put the 22mm MIKUNI onit so its def getting more fuel..

I see what ur saying....Try adjusting a few things, maybe even go back over it with a fine tooth comb. Sounds like the fuel/air mixture could be wrong. One screw on the carb is fuel and the other is air. It will definitely work better with a bigger carb vs a stock carb as for as the 88cc is concerned....If u think about it, a bigger carb is even a definite upgrade to the stock engine......Its an easy fix, just have to fight with it a little. I'm sure u'll be happy when u fix the problem and u kept ur bigger carb. =-)

Read this:

I had the same pit boss big bore kit on my old 50 and the 20mm carb that comes with it works great. You just need to make sure everything is jetted correctly, that the timing is correct and that your valves are set right. A 22mm carb is too big for that motor. I have a race head 88cc kit in my new 50 and I still use a 20mm carb. I tried a 22mm and it lost all the low end power.. Use the 20mm.
