InfiniteReality's Build Log

I've owned the bike for about 3 months and even though I couldn't actually stunt or barely ride it when I got it due to surgery, I recently got to play a little on it. Still can't do much, but got the principle down and think street tires are my ticket which have been waiting to go on.

It's seen several different "looks" since I got it with new plastics, bought graphics and some custom ones I made. I've also been ordering 50stunt parts since almost day one and put a couple things on here and there (mainly so I could ride it).

Randomly last night decided now's the time to tear it all down and will finish tonight, clean it all tomorrow, and paint friday hopefully. Planning on painting frame, swingarm, forks, and maybe rims... Got white plastics to throw on this time around and will make another set of custom decals. Plus a slew of 50stunt parts.... and a dash of some real carbon fiber.

ET of being done 100% is 2 weeks, we'll see if it happens but definitely possible.

Re: InfiniteReality's Build Log

Well ****... place holders did no good, can't go back and edit them now... Oh well...

UPDATE
Friday I brought everything outside... I throughly cleaned everything, sprayed adhesion promoter on, then got to painting... Took better part of the afternoon to get it all done.
- Frame and swingarm was done with Black Hammertone.
- Engine, wheel hubs, and exhaust was done semi-gloss black.
- Forks and muffler guard were done with gloss black.

Re: InfiniteReality's Build Log

I let the paint cure all day saturday and Super Bowl Sunday (aka SAINTS WON!) I put it back together. Took a little longer to put back together, but I also installed an array of 50STUNT parts as well! Also installed some street tires Friday at my next door neighbor's shop...he was nice enough to do it for me, though I need to let the air out and straighten out the tube still.

Put it all back together with the old graphics for now. This week I'll be designing some new graphics for it and also have a new set of white plastics ready to go on at the same time. I also have a little real carbon fiber that will be in this week....new fork guards and tank cover... Hopefully this weekend it'll be all done and installed.

Ya know... Ever since I mounted them, I've asked myself that same question over and over.. Even did some research and they seem to be 3" tires... They're IRC MB38's and size is 80/90-10. I found the model number off this site, but the Pirelli's look so much fatter and I'm guessing it's due to the tread pattern, unless maybe these really aren't 3"? Any ideas?

Re: InfiniteReality's Build Log

You must be single or have a spare rec room or something to rear down a 50 in your house. My wife would flip the **** out. I'm always in the garage instead.

Yep, single but in 4 months I wont' be. She's cool with teh 'busa staying ni the living room after we get married, but that's also when my 3rd bedroom (computer room) becomes the computer/50 room. I can live with that.

Read a little more from Google and seems that 100/90 is what I'd need....I think. I posted a thread on it, seems Pirelli's a little wider but not too much.

Re: InfiniteReality's Build Log

Thanks! Not quite done yet either. Tomorrow it'll have the following:

- black front brake lever
- 50 stunt black rear brake bracket (for better RHB control)
- carbon fiber fork guards
- carbon fiber tank cover
- white plastics
- printing out some of my new graphics and installing them (assuming i can finish design on them tonight)

Still waiting on my black dipstick but it's got shipped today so hopefully it'll be here soon.

Yep from Ryan and it was actually an option on the site for the color. ...wait are you talking about the front brake handle itself and if so, he offers them in black too... So now they'll match
