fast fiddy bars, problem

My stock brake cable will not reach. There is no way. Anyone else have this problem? Where could I get a longer one?

Also, what grips are you guys running? I didn't realize it didn't include them.

Don't waste your time with BBR and Fast50s, check out the Red Baron stuff. It's off the hook! www.redbaronracing.net

I just got Red Baron clamps, bars, graphics, swingarm, frame, and a skid plate. I am going to sell all of my Fast50, Fiveo and BBR crap.

You might need to buy a new brake cable. I bought some chromoly front forklegs and it came with a new brake cable.

I'm not about to just throw this stuff away. I'm sure someone has a longer cable

You just need to re route em. You can also buy longer brake cable and throttle.... I have the 2" longer brake cable in stock now.

red96,

like shugga said.. just reroute the cable to the right side of the bike

i did and there's plenty of slack in my brake cable w/ the fast 50 bars even when my bars are turned all the way left

I have the Fast50s bars and I like em. I made it work with the stock cables but you have to reroute them. Well, until I got the front springs in, which raised the front a bit and made the brake cable too short. I just bought the 2" longer cable and problem solved. You have to route the throttle cable all the way to the right side of the bike, outside the forks and everything. That or buy a longer throttle cable, too.

As far as grips go, any grips that will go on a standard dirt bike bars will fit the Fast50s bars. Take your pick.

Oh yeah, the BBR kit is more complete, (grips, kill switch, both cables) but I don't think they're any better. One thing the Fast50s kit has over it is the billet throttle that seems way beefier than the BBR one.

Since you already have the Fast50s bars, it would be a total waste of money to replace em. Just get cables if you need them.

Thanks for the link shugga, exactly what I need

And I dunno if my cable is shorter then the ones you guys have or if my springs influence it or what but that thing wont reach, I mean it will but stretched out ALL the way.

The bars seem great too.

Anyway looks like shugga solves the problem. Did you get my other stuff out? Obviously I got the bars already :YEAH

The XR 70 cable should be longer...you might want to head over to a Honda dealer and have a look.
