Need some help on a xr50
Got a used 01. But unsure what the hose running down an hanging loose is? also anyway to tone it down its got an 88cc big bore kit, a cam amongst other things and it is fast!!! im thinkin it might be to much for me.. also the throttle seems to be a lil sticky on it...

he said hes got about 3k in mods.. i can snap some pics if you like... anyway to make this thing not so snappy?

If you are talking about the hose that comes from the top of the engine case ( in the back , on top ) , this hose goes to the stock air filter box . Since you have a foam filter , or none at all , it has nowhere to go except hang down .

If you dropped the bike on the handle bar throttle , it might have knocked the assembly inward .
Loosen the assembly and pull it a little off the bar to see if it will free up the sticky throttle .

Why would you give back a really nice bike with all the money in it for a stock 50 ?
Learn throttle control . Problem solved .
If you have one of them 1/4 turn throttles on there , you could change that too.

My fiddy came with an 88cc kit on it and I managed just fine. It's all about seat time. You'll get used to it and, in the end, the extra power will be a blessing in disguise.

get smaller sprockits in the rear....the cheapest/easiest fix. It will give you more top speed but "lower your torque" thats in quotes because it doesnt lower the torque of the motor
