Just bought some 50 stunt parts

Just bought the stage 1 stunt kit with the ASV lever upgrade. i've been good so far this summer and can pretty much work overtime whenever i want so i figured i'd buy some parts. now i just gotta figure out why my plug still carbon fouls... gotta get some feeler gauges and maybe an 85 jet. anyone else run a #92 in an 88 kit up around hurr in MA?

i'll take pics when this **** all comes in, but its time to go ride since its not raining for once

Re: Just bought some 50 stunt parts

thanks, i will check it. also have some feeler gauges too so ill test the valves.

also, the carb (i believe it is a keihin pc18) came with 2 jets originally, but the owner only had one when he sold it to me. a 92# and an 85# are what it came with, but if it's still running rich after i check the plug and **** then i'll just buy an 85...

and holy **** ryan can ship stuff fast. ordered the parts late on thursday and they got here today. seems like real quality stuff, gonna wash the car then put them on the bike

Re: Just bought some 50 stunt parts

^^^^ wat?

i got all the parts on, checked the spark plug gap, and adjusted the valves. i'm not sure if you're supposed to use a regular feeler gauge on a spark plug, but i couldn't even slide a .025" one under it, so i pried it up a little bit till it would fit (since stock specs say .028"). i'm gonna get a new spark plug soon anyways. for the valves, the intake was at about .004, so i brought it to .002. with the exhaust though couldn't even slide the .002 in there. adjusted it up to .003 and the bike runs much better now, does not top out in the revs anymore which is sweet. it still feels like its running a little rich but i'm going to play with the carb a little more before i order new jets now that the valves are all set.

anyways, here are some pics:

now i just have to learn to ride it lol

Re: Just bought some 50 stunt parts

well i got the upgraded ASV lever i think you save like 15 bucks or something compared to buying it separately. still need to tweak my whole setup to make it more sensitive. when you are pulling do you use 2 fingers? i have been doing index and middle on the left hand to pull

Re: Just bought some 50 stunt parts

**** i got 4 fingers grabbing it Thats just cause it feels more comfortale in the hand . But i raise the back wheel off the ground and spin the tire and adjust the ***** on the brake arm til the wheel drags a little , then turn the ***** back a little , the brake lever should grab right away then . Did you put a nut in front of the brake arm too , to keep the adjustment set ?

I like that hand lever , i had the normal style . I just sold my hand brake set up to Wreck , in a trade .
