Re: Noob With a XR50....

well the only way i know you could figure out if it has like an 88cc kit or something in it is if the piece from the engine and where the exhaust bolts up is not black? it comes black stock so if its a different color... i dont know where im going with this really. i dont know of any way to tell without being with the bike. but those plastics look pretty sick

Hell yeah nice ride. And im happy to see you wearing the gear. Atleast you are doing it the "right" way....Anyways props on the ride and the gear. Welcome to our little slice of 50 heaven that we still have and the government cant say **** about it, LoL....Keep rockin that biatch and like some others said. Street tires, hand brake and some stunt pegs. Then that biatch will be ready to rock even harder....=-)

Re: Noob With a XR50....

HAh. Yeah the gear is just because we where ridding on ice basically. lol

But, yeah Some street tires, pegs would be sick. Whats a handbrake? this thing doesn't have a clutch... Its a 2003 3spd semi-auto... I need to find out whats all into this thing. Its probably hard to though if your not here huh? idk but, it spanks all my friend's bikes. stroker kit maybe?

p.s. ill upload some more videos.

Re: Noob With a XR50....

Take a close up picture of the motor from the left side of the bike. Should have numbers on the cylinder (Unless its a bored stocker) Stock says 49cm on the top left of the motor. And I bought a set of Pirelli tires (3.00x10) for $60 at Cycle Gear. Love the look of em.

will do. I don't have the bike with me right now ill check and either upload a picture or say what it is..And those tires, is that the price mounted? Its the same changing tires like a regular BMX bike right? or a little bit tougher?

Thanks for all the info. This forum is so much nicer than Dirtrider.net.

You guys know your 50's!

Re: Noob With a XR50....

takes me about ten minutes to swap from ***** to Streets. They are a little stiffer to mount and gettin the valve through the hole can be a bitch. Get three tire levers and be careful not to pinch the tube and go for it. I also tend to do it on a moving pad to save the rims from scratches.
Here is a shot of the Motor on mine

And one of the Fiddy Just need the throttle tube, levers and Grips for the big bars

Re: Noob With a XR50....

It has a bigger than stock carb and a big bore at the minimum. The Gold cover is over Valves I believe. Definitely not a stock setup. NICE!
