Re: illegal fiddys????

wow that is a bunch of BS. you gotta figure the amount of adults that buy 50's these days to play on, it's not just kids

want a solution to the problem??

warning sticker that says "for riders 12 years old and older" and then the parents can use their own judgement. I've never seen a 7 year old walk in and by their own bike. have you???

just like the ones on quads saying 16 and up and crap like that. get smart JUST my

Re: illegal fiddys????

Have a guy here locally selling his 07 crf50 with 88cc big bore, 50stunt pegs, 50stunt bars, 50stunt triple clamp, extended shifter, 50stunt shoe saver, painted frame swingarm and forks...With a clean title (he's the only owner), and he is selling it DIRTY DIRTY cheap........When i go buy it (for my backup 50), i'll post some pics for you guys.....=-)

MikeOnTheBike: In the state of Louisiana, IF an adult walks into a dealership and tells the salesman that they want to look at a bike for their kid. By law the salesman can NOT sell it to the adult. Now if the adult told the salesman they wanted a 50 for themselves, then yes they could buy it. But IF u told the salesman that it was for your kid, they couldnt sell it to you........Even though the bikes were infact intended for 12years old or older, LoL.....=-)

But now the 50's are banned, so guess that doesnt matter anymore...=-)

Re: illegal fiddys????

yet another example of the powers that be exploiting an exception to the rule as the standard by which we all must conform. why is it that we are only as free as the stupidest people allow? with all the laws that changed, altered and amended, i would think this will be addressed. i hope.

Re: illegal fiddys????

You have to actually read the law...anything made for children has to be tested...testing takes almost a year and cost a lot of money..small toy manufacturers can't afford, all used toys and clothing can't be sold..paces like goodwill have to destroy all their stuff.

Any parts that a 50 or 70 shares with another bike...tuff **** can't be sold. And yes the ban applies to personal sales of used bikes and parts...in a couple articles they said that they have people just browsing classifieds looking for bikes being sold.

And today our government came out publicly and said they are working on a new and expanded PERMANENT assault weapons ban...you can bet your *** their will be a ban on personal sales and transfers. That and every semi auto rifle ever made. Get them while you can.

Dude, I was thinking exactly that! Take all the bikes that fall under this law and put big bars on and strict warning "for adults only" stickers on them and their manuals and be done with it and make them to so that they safely carry an average size adult (like the Hondas). Screw the little weedeater pocket bikes anyways! They can die!

No kids are buying fiddies by themselves, so problem solved.

Now on the sale of used bikes, what happened to the good ol' grandfather clause that blankets so many other things?? Like I can go buy a 1950's clunker car or truck that pukes horrible emissions and has no seat belts and go right down and pass inspection....WTF? This is total bullshit! Makes me just want to go ride circles naked with a lit blunt in my lips at the DMV!!

Re: illegal fiddys????

^^^ kids being unable to operate the bike isnt the issue, them gnawing on the lead laden brake pedal is.

Re: illegal fiddys????

Damn man .223 hard to find where u live. **** down here in the south that .223 ammo is like the gixxer parts on ebay, LMAO. Now my .308 rounds are pretty damn hard to find though. I seen the price is already starting to go up on them too. Just means we better stock up before its too late. Or start reloading our own ammo....I got lucky and found my .308 in the hands of a dealer. And even better part is that its a Bushmaster. They stopped making the .308 about 3 years ago. So it'll be a keeper for sure....=-)

Just like the 50's, LMAO....=-)
