i have a 2004 xr80 that is street legal. i just bought a 2004 xr/crf100. anyone know if the frames will fit? i rather have the 100 legal but i don't have any papework for it. will the motor and suspension fit either frame? thanks..

im not posotive but most likely it would fit. all the frames are the same design and the engine isn't any bigger in physical size. the only thing i think youd have a problem with is the rear suspension from the 100 fitting the swingarm to the 80. but if you keep the 80 suspension and just throw the 100 enginge in it should work. let me know how it comes out!

 

yea i wanna make the 100 legal cause i like the bigger motor and the taller stance. i think the 100 shock should fit into the 80 ok, cause i actually have a 100 spring in the 80 now. i believe the motors are the same..or atleast on the outside. just like the 50 and 70 are the same motors. we'll see..when i get a chance i'll try swap everything over..

 

oh if you have a 100 shock on ther now if will fit fine. and just like u said the 50/70 motor are the same physical size and same thing with the 80/100. they're the same physical size just different bore.

 

jus found out from another forum that everything will fit. the carb is a little bigger on the 100 and it uses a little wider chain than the 80. but everything else will bolt up..thanks..
