I have the 50 stunt set up, but when the bike is moving, not much happens when I use it. There's just no power in it I guess. Foot brake locks up no problem.

One thing I'm looking at is the leverage. The hb is mounts up to the bottom of the brake lever on the hub. I figure it's got to do with the leverage. Foot brake works great.

What's everyone's fix for this? I tried a few things with what I have but things bind.
Has anyone ran an EZ pull lever for the HB?

Do you have a nut right there ? I have my spring on the bottom , but i don't think the spring matters .

I'm not bashing 50Stunt. Just saying that's the product. I guess I could have worded it better. If I thought it was the product, I would have tossed it and copied someone elses idea.

 

Try to put the handbrake in the top hole on the brakearm and the foot on the bottom. idk know if u can do that with the 50 stunt setup, i have a homemade one and mine works great. The farther away u go fom a pivot point the less pressure u need to apply to turn it! Kinda like if u had bust a rusty bolt loose would u use a stubby or a long wrench? sry im not to good at explaining **** lol

 

My 50stunt handbrake works great. You just need to adjust your setup until you get it working properly. I run ASV levers on my bike, haven't felt a need to try an easy pull.

 

Mine stops on a dime and leaves skid marks for days. Wouldnt trade it for anything else. Try adjusting it bit by bit until you see some change. Mine is in the top hole and the foot lever linkage is in the bottom hole.............Yummy....=-)

 

Where'd you get that bracket? I wonder if it's the angle of the wore since my bracket isn't that far up.

 

ReSpECT has the same bracket that I have. It was included in the 50stunt handbrake kit.

 

moorport must have changed the style of the bracket . the older kits had one like in the first picture . the second picture is one that makes the cable run to the top of the brake arm .

So neosporin , where and when did you get your h/b kit ? I think your problem is just adjustment . Also make sure the cable is connected to the lever good so there is no slack .

Also try taking the brake arm off and pivoting it back a tooth or two on the brake panel post .

 

check your break pads, even if they look liek they have meat on them they might be glazed, take some sand paper to em.

the 50stunt handbrake set up works fine.

 

mine works perfect. all 4 of my bikes have a 50stunt set-up... it takes a while to adjust it.. also like eveyone else sais run the handbrake on the top and the foot cable on the bottom.

i got a dirtbike break lever with the little cluch rig up on it i took that off and use that with the cable and it feels like a hydro break i use one finger on it..... i found to leave the foot break alone and have the handbreak on top.. clean drums and make shore it ajusted right
