oil cooler questions

Is there ever any reason to get an oil cooler with a stock engine? summers down here are pretty nasty and i would rather not be forced to take breaks to let the bike cool down as often as i did on the f4i.

I think it looks pretty cool havin a intercooler thing on a 50

Re: oil cooler questions

You shouldnt need one for stunting, they are mostly for pumped up racing engines on the motocross track were mud and dirt can build up on the motor and make it run hotter. Rock that bad boy and see how it works this summer. Oil coolers look cool, but its really just one more thing to break when you drop the bike IMO.

You can run a fiddy without oil and it will still last forever, I don't think a little warm oil will hurt anything haha.

Re: oil cooler questions

i wish i could say that , don't have a big bike to have fun on anymore .. fiddys all i got so i have to keep it interesting.

and the way economy is goin i dont think it's in my best interest to look into getting a new bike or at least a loan for one. prolly best just to save and sit tight for a while.

also if you want to sell your 50 my best friend is looking for one in the 400-700 ish range according to condition and parts ,etc.
