Spark arrester removal

When you guys removed your spark arrestors did you take out the inner tube from the end cap or did you leave it with the one tube inside the other? I know this doesn't make much sense but think about how the end cap is set up.

i cut mine right where the weld is on the cap. sounds sweet.

I cut the screen and ripped off the metal cap then put it back together. Didn't sound to bad for stock exhaust

I just took the whole ****in thing out and left a big gaping hole. Sounds way better

I just ripped off the mesh with a set of pilers thats all i would do dont want it to be to loud and you need some presure on the engine.

You can take off the whole thing right, the loss of back pressure wont blow ur engine up will it? cause i wanted to do it on my xr100 but my dad wouldnt let me.
