Yeah the CDI box lets it rev to the moon....but if your running the stock cylinder head there is no reason to rev it to the moon because you are making less horsepower in the upper RPM range than the lower.

Ah and now all this makes sence. I've got everything but the head, and the top end is pretty flat. Looks like I gotta go get me some head !!!

I got 47mph with mine..................Tony at Cafe Concepts in Michigan got 58mph ..................both big bore kits...........but I dont have bigger manifold and 20mm carb either or the 3 speed shift..............BUT he has 4k into his!!!! BOTH WHEELIE LIKE HELL WITH STOCK FRONT AND A 30 IN THE REARS!!!

I had my friend pace me yesterday in my stock xr50 and I hit 39. I'll try to think of a way to take a pic showing the speedometer and the 50 at the same time and post it since it does sound a little fast. It was completely flat ground also.

swifty we need to run both of are bikes together and see from there....i'm 200 pnds and was getting 35-36 mph

I have mine geared from a stock 37 to a 34 on the rear. I ran it beside my buddys mustang and saw a top speed of around 35.
