Looking for Ice fiddy riders

Looking for pics/ input/ lessons learned on studding and riding on frozen lakes/ ponds/ ect. Pics of bikes and tires would be very helpful. I finally found a spare set of rims so I can have a dedicated set of ice tires. Planning on using the stock knobbies and 3/8 Kold kutters. Any imput/ ideas?

Save yourself some time and use better tires. Use tires made for dirt with bigger lugs. I made the mistake of using the stock tires the first year. With stockers you have to run a liner, IE - a cut street tire and it is a pain in the butt and I would go through tubes like crazy. With some dirt tires with big lugs there is no need for liners and they were super easy to stud. Look for verticle mischief crew's area on here in the riders area, they have a how too that is helpfull. Once you stud the tires you won't need riding lessons, they hook up pretty much like street tires on the road.

here is the link. https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/97-...-your-ice.html

any recommendation on a tire, I hear the star crosses are too gummy to hold studs well...

I think I used star crosses and had no problems with a race head 88.

will 1/2 kold kutters work on the starcrosses without going through the tire?
or do you need to run the 3/8?
Thanks!

I have a starcross coming for the rear, I have already studded up a stocker for the front.
