Throttle help

I have a 2006 crf 50 w/ pro taper high bars. I think it still has the throttle that comes with those bars too. but there is a pretty big gap from the throttle being all the way off to where it catches and the bike starts moving. i am just wondering if anyone else has that problem and how they delt with it? and if anyone has the 50stunt bar kit if it has that problem too?

Re: Throttle help

It sounds like you just need to adjust the throttle cable. You can take out that slack by unscrewing it from the adjuster at the throttle, you know were it threads into the throttle, just spin that out some. There is no problem with the 50stunt bar kit, but similar adjustments are required pretty much with any throttle cable install. The 50 stunt throttle cable has 2 adjustments on the cable to eliminate freeplay, your kit might also. Look for a metal part on the cable that looks like you can put a wrench on it, you can adjust that also to take out the freeplay.
