no the manual clutch is good. its just easier to stunt on the auto i think. how much would the manual clutch go for anyways? i also got a big gun exhaust and a alien exhaust. i dunno which one is better.

but yeah if you can find me a service manual that would be great or just scan that section so i can convert it back.

No bro......manual is the way to go if you want to stunt it. If you're setting it back up for a five yr old, then go back auto.

I think auto makes it more enjoyable for just recreational riding... maybe for really serious stuff the manual would be fun though.

Re: manual clutch back to auto

so i should stick with manual? when i showed up at our spot this past weekend the guys were wondering about the manual clutch. they all have auto. so i thought maybe it was better to be auto.

but if its better to have a manual clutch then ill leave it. saves me a lot of time and headache

Re: manual clutch back to auto

I like auto better for stunt. Manual is fun but I know very few people that use them on their stunter. What kind of manual kit is it? You could get like $60-$80 if it's a TB in good shape and complete and more for a Tak. Someone would def trade an auto for your manual setup on planet minis. You will need a clutch nut tool but google instructions for the install. That should help.

I'd like to give it a try... but I think in the long run I'll stick with the manual... of course then again my stocker is almost gone so maybe I can go manual since they're pretty cheap.

dratv.com has a manual kit for like $90. You can always get extra gaskets and swap it out if you don't like it.

Re: manual clutch back to auto

I like to be able to whack it straight to bp w/ the clutch, auto slips a little, unless you preload the shifter for a second. Manual also eliminates about two pounds of rotating mass from the crankshaft, giving you much quicker throttle response and more power. Auto also starts to slip bad when you slow it way down around idle, it needs certain RPMs to stay engaged. It's all personal preference.
