hey when i first got my 50 i suppose i half shifted into second and i heard a strange clinking sound in my engine, hah dont know how that happened... its strange you have to shift kind of strange on this little bike - and today i was trying to smoke 3rd gear but shifting it by hand without my weight on it (yeah instead of lifting the back of the bike and putting it in third pinning it and setting it on the ground) and it did the grinding thing again... what the hell is grinding? does anyone know? is it gears ??? what kind of problems can this cause? why the hell does it do it! it bothers the hell out of me. never had a bike do that to me before.

 

sounds like you broke one of your gears or maybe your clutch basket. you better open it and check. you dont want the shavings circulating through your oil, it can **** up your piston.

 

didnt break anything. works the same as it always has.
just afraid that ill eventually break something. i have "grinded" it worse before if thats what we want to call it and have changed the oil and never found any metal in it before.
