How the hell do pop up the front wheel?
How the hell do pop up the front wheel?
Was ****** around on the fiddy tonight and i dont see how you all are gettin the front wheel up at all. Do you start with it up to begin with or what? I was sittin as far back as possible (like on the tail) and even pullin up on the bars while i was givin it gas. I know there is a way to get it up, just dont see how. the bike is basically stock if that helps. any ideas would be appreciated.

so basically, give i gotta preload like a **** and give it gas. prolly gonna be easier standing up. def gonna practice a bit more, ***** fun as hell tho
Re: How the hell do pop up the front wheel?
like everyone said, there is a delay. but sit pretty much on the tail, whack the throttle and push ur *** down hard on the seat (no homo) while leaning back, don't really need to even tug on the bars, its all in the *** preload & throttle timing. Its def easier to bounce it up in a stand up, your still gonna have to get used to the delay though. its all about seat time, one time it will just click and you'll be going for blocks.

i think its a lil easier to learn shifting into 2nd hold the shifter up and rev it a few times and when u let the shifter go itto gear it will act like clutchin it up. (not the best for the bike) but a lil easier to learn imo

Just do like fat joe says and lean back, lean back, lean back
I rode a stocker for the longest time, could do 3rd gear wheelies and hc's
but its boring as ****
You can pick up a 88 kit for as cheap as $99, or up to $360 for a stage 3.. Definitely the way to go!

I have been a practising 1st gear only getting pretty good. I read this post and thought I would give it a go! Big mistake for me. First couple of times just lurched 3rd and 4th got the front up by 6". 5th time came up soo fast it catapolted me right off! Hit the concrete on my knees and the bike carried on going grinding on the aft fender for another 8ft standing up on it's tail
Will be trying again when the bruising on both knees goes down and the stitches are removed

Go buy some plastic shin gaurds (like hockey ones that cover your knees too ). And some elbow pads .
And try 2nd gear . maintain a slow steady speed . gas it , pull on the bars .
Keep your foot over the rear brake , in case you go to high , step on it . Most important part .
And let off the throttle . Then get back on the throttle before wheel comes back down .
But make sure to keep your foot over the rear brake , just in case .

Thanx for the idiot guide dude. Don't get me wrong, normaly I have these things covered. But on this attempt I tried more body wait so I preloaded forks then flung all 185lb back. Godzilla'd it up + gas. The speed it came up caught me completely unaware. So the moral I learnt was yes it's all in the timming and second take baby steps. Knee pads might be a good idea to go along with my full body jacket. It's a good thing I only ride at night when it's dark cos I will look like a suma wrestler
