bought an XR80R

After being stuck to bicycles for a good while, I'm back on something with a motor. now I need a little help with actually doing wheelies with my bike. my problem seems to be that I cant find a 12 o clock bar for this thing, and I have no idea how the hell you'd mount it without fabbing something up or welding it to the frame.

while I'm thinkin about it, is there any way to convert to disc brakes? I really REALLY hate these drum things.

I ogt apic of a pimp 80 with a custom subframe to give you an idea of what you can do. I'd make it out of chromoly.

and for wheelie advice. Get going at a decent speed in second gear at lower rpms. Pull in the clutch, give it gas, let it out cover your rear brake. You need to find the ballence point. When you find that use the throttle to keep it smooth. Try not to be choppy on the throttle. If you go to far back ease on the rear brake. If your not high enough give it gas. You want to be at the point where you can ride the wheelie and not accellerate. I say lower rpms on this bike so when the front tire reaches ballence point your not at redline, so you have room to work with. And lots and lots of practice. Try to get your forks parrell to the ground.

Your best bet is to go to your honda dealer. They can run the size and tell you what fits. I'm not sure the exact size or brand they are but your honda dealer will have no problem getting you street tires for it. I went to my local dealer for pirelli tires for my old 50 and they got me them chaeper than 50stunt sells them for with tax.

This can also give you a basic idea for setting up a handbrake too. Go over in the fiddylife how to section and there is a thread about making a handbrake. Combine that with the idea used in this pic & you should be good.

It's not my bike & I don't know who made it. But they did an amazing job so I saved the pic. I post it once in a while for threads like this & it helps give the person an idea to make their own.
You need to find a good metal fabricator and make it out of chromoly. Give them this pic & a good fabricator should be able able to make something close. It should be alot easier for them to have a pic to copy the basic idea.
