Whats next...and stock shocks?

Hey whats up i just bought my first 50, i can do good wheelies sittin down and was wondering what i should try next. I tried them standing on the seat but its pretty hard, i cant balance it. Any other tricks to try first?

Also i was reading through the forums and lots of people seem to be running stock, my bike is completly stock, i have bars on the way. I was just wondering if you guys have heavy duty shocks and forks, of just stock, thanks

Is it easier to do stand ups on the pegs opposed to the seat?

I made aluminum spacers that were slightly smaller than the fork diameter, and wedged them under the springs to preload them a bit more. I also put 10 weight fork oil in there, gotta be better than the chinese junk.

Re: Whats next...and stock shocks?

Hey guys.... I'm riding an xr80 ....but im also at that very beginning learning point.....working on slowing my wheelies down.... I can ride them in 3rd all day long ....in 2nd for very long (and slow them down sometimes) and I'm getting better and better in first gear (up to 200feet sometimes)
Anyways Tmac....yea ...I think seatstanders are further up the learning curve (at least for me) other stuff i've been working on besides sitdowns... (And this would be my answer to your ORIGINAL post in the Thread) Other tricks to work on and learn.... Spreaders (seem to be the easiest variation from sitdown) another pretty easy one is Standing on the rear axle pegs (as someone else mentioned).... Other things would be ....One handers....also practice looking to the side instead in front of you when wheelying( It's a distraction that will help your wheelies become more instinctual ) Also practice your RB....even to the point of a rear fender scrape (if you are good enough) Also ...it cant hurt to start riding around in the hichchair position just to get used to it (if you're gonna pick them up someday) Oh yeah....also practice riding around No handed ....circles ...figure eights... whatever...it just puts you more in tune with your bike.
Those are some suggestions to start with ....I think, they are all easier than SS wheelies or Circles..... Good Luck have Fun
