Re: carb/gas problems

this leak is a tank drainer ok so let me try to explain this as simple as i can, on the carb. the fuel overflow line, the one that runs from the botttom of the carb to under the bike, leaks like crazy, i mean even when your on the gas it still pours out and wastes so much gas. i jut wanted to see if any of u guys had any problems like this because since its new and not mine i dont wanna mess it up or anything. its a cheap 110 chinese 4 wheeler

Re: carb/gas problems

you ever have the carb apart?...could be the jet isn't properly seated under the float.

Re: carb/gas problems

my pocket dirt bike has the same problem it leaks gas at a constant rate from the over flow, not just dropping gas, a steady streem! the only thing is that mine dosen't run and i have all ready tore the carb apart and clean everything and but it back together... and it didnt change a thing, ive played with the floats and pin... ive tryed everything and cant find the problem...

Where did you get the quad from ?

If it's new , take it back an get a refund or exchange it , or tell them to fix it

Re: carb/gas problems

i got it from a local pocket bike shop, i took it up there yesterday and got their input on it, but they charge 45 and hour to fix it, and if its just as simple as cleanig out the carb then i will do it myself. if its not that then ill take it back up there monday and have them do it

Re: carb/gas problems

Why should you have to pay, it's new? (Like within 4 months?) Isn't the cost of a new carb 45 dollars?

Re: carb/gas problems

the floats stuck in the carb... if you dont want to take the carb apart, you can try tapping the bowl of the carb with a screw driver kinda hard... i've been known to pick the front of the four wheelers up and slam them back down to unstick the floats too... ha, no ****... just matters how stuck it is, or how much trash is in it.. just a quick too if you will

Re: carb/gas problems

Same thing here the float is probably stuck, I used to have a 94 Banshee and it happened once in a while, just got to make sure everything is moving freely.
