I was looking around fiddylife and I came across this brake mod, and I was just wondering if anyone had tried this?

yes, i've done it and it does show an improvement in braking power, but just be carefull not to use in in place of replacing worn pads becasue if the edge of teh pad catches in the drum it will cause all sorts of parts to break .... my bike is currently down due to this reason... not the mod, but trying to adjust and get the last bit of use out of worn out shoes

 

Instead of grinding down the one side.. I put a new shoe on the opposite side.. Made a HUGE diff

 

yea, that works better and is safer in general.... new pads make a huge difference by them selves, can't wait till i get my newbrake hub, pads and spring for the shoes soi can get back out and ride again. busted my *** doing circles with no rear brake the other day

 

due to that brake mod that worked great i got my brakes broken got the one pad and spring and hub broken But its a good mod.... better off the safe way and using new pads!!!

 

I did the mod and was impressed... there was a noticeable difference in stopping power-greatly improves hb performance
