Re: disk rear hand break????

buddy of mine had a knockoff with disc brakes and he took off his foot lever and put a hydro clutch master off a streetbike on and ran the line to rear caliper. worked great just no foot break

Re: disk rear hand break????

I am just thinking out loud here so dont hold me to this...
I think you could possibly make something work cause i know in the dealer books they have alot of "T" connectors and stuff like that to extend brake cables and stuff. Maybe just take one of these and set up a hydraulic clutch and perch assy and splice it in with the existing line....???

I am saving up for the bbr kit to try this(it will be a lil bit but when ive tried it, i will post up and let yall know).

Ive asked Full Throttle Inc. before and they said they wont mess with fiddy stuff( but this was a while ago i dont know if he opened his eyes to the fiddy scene yet)

i've done it that way ona few streetbikes for friends adn one time for myself.. not that hard either, jsut use a clutch perch from a hydro bike like an older FZR1000 or a ducati..best place to find them is M/C salvage yards to keep it cheap, then go to a hydraulic fitting shop adn get a hose and fitting made to fit your application

also you can rig a cable to pull up on the master cylender at the rear brake pedal.. it takes a little fabrication but no too bad, and it keeps a little more "feel" in the handbrake

Re: disk rear hand break????

well I ran a bicycle brake and cable the cable pulls up on the master cylinder. at first it didnt work but it was only because the return spring was to strong, so i took it off and it works perfect didnt need it the cable acts as the return spring. Ill take pics soon, thanks every one for the help.
