Re: big bore and sprocket

The stage III 88cc kit rips!! Most people run a smaller sprocket with it though, for more top speed because the increased power brings the front wheel up in all gears.

yep, i run it... it's awesome...rither get a bigger front sprocket or a smaller rear or both to fully utilize the potential power of the kit and gain some top speed while smoothing out the power enough to make it usable

Re: big bore and sprocket

First make sure you get the high volume oil pump if you go with a big bore kit .

Alot of people like a 15/34 gear setup with a 88cc

But the Stage 3 comes with a race head so you might want to go a little smaller than a 34 with the rear sprocket ( or a 16 in the front)

Turboglenn , what you runnin' ?

Re: big bore and sprocket

Hell I rock stock gearing with a stage 3 88 kit

I was running 15/30, but it was way to long.. Would make the bike bog down on tight circles

Re: big bore and sprocket

I have the TB 88 with head, HD clutch and Hi volume oil pump.

Gearing is 16/35 with 3.00X10 tires.

Good for 48mph in 3rd and still lets me do slow stuff in 1st.

I have tried all gearing combos except for a 30 rear. I need one of those with a 17 front now that I am street legal. I need 60mph out of the little f*cker. It will s*ck ***** for stunting though.
