Anti-Flip device for fiddy
Anti-Flip device for fiddy
So like all beginners on the fifty the first thing me and my buddy wanted to learn how to do was wheelies but it was hard to learn the balance point because we did not want to go to far and break our ***! so we came up with this little widget that connects to the bike to keep you from flipping over. We took some video and other pics if you want to seem them at www.sadisticdesigns.com. We were thinking about selling the item but I wanted to see if anyone on here would think it would be useful. Would you guys use this kind of thing?
Here is pic of it:

Re: Anti-Flip device for fiddy
mine came with an anti flip device ... the rear brake
and i know it takes some time to learn but flipping does not hurt ... i've looped 3rd gear pinned numerous times ...
it is a nice design though - maybe good for younger kids especially

I feel gay after just watching the video. What good is it just locks up the back brake once you get it up

Re: Anti-Flip device for fiddy
just buck up and be a man, my first day on the fiddy i looped like three second gear sitdowns. rely on yourself to learn, not a lil gadget. the only way to get good is to push yourself knowing that you can hurt yourself. though the design looks pimp, and the ideas not bad just remember its only a fifty, it doesnt hurt that bad.
Re: Anti-Flip device for fiddy
fab work and design is great. but if u spent the time on figuring the design out on practicing u wouldnt need the damn thing.
it looks like it is counter productive. 50s are all about break control. ur not learning that because everytime u go too far back the wheel locks up and u pull your feet off the bike.

anti-flip device=12bar
seriously tho, that looked kinda cool, you had it for a minute, but slamming onto it like it's a 12 bar is prolly gonna bend you brake lever/arm.
if you made it shorter, so you had to learn brake control, but it was there if you didn't hit the brake enough, it'd be sweet.
came out beautiful tho

Re: Anti-Flip device for fiddy
Well .. We created not for us to learn how to wheelie but to help others learn how to wheelie
We busted our *** and broke our fiddy enough to figure out there has to be a cleaner way to learn how to do this w/out busting the bike up.(Yes I realize that we should be a 'badass' and take it but why if you don't have to? plus it keeps bike repairs down) This is what we came up with.. now the cool thing is since it uses the rear brake to stop the bike. you can actually ride it out and just barely get it far enough to where you feel the rear brake kick in and you can ride the rear brake just like you would normally but if it goes to far back the bike will rock forward. It actually helped us learn more about when to do brake control.
I would also like to point out that there is no pressure on the brake lever so it does not bend at all.
So someone pointed out they wanted something like this for stoppies. Since we are past our wheelie learning venture.. and are just now getting into stoppies. We actually have a device for stoppies as well that keep you from busting on your face and of course bustin the **** out of your bike. If your interested in that let me know I can send you some pics
