which way does what? turn left for more gas or air?

Turn it all the way in to close it then back it out till you get it where it needs to be. This is kind of a trial and error thing so just mess with it till it's right.

will this get the bog out? i put a uni filter anf fmf pipe on and it wants to bog

Have you jetted it yet? I put a K&N on mine plus removed the spark arrester in the pipe. Mine had a bog. I raised the needle one notch as a temporary fix. I have a #60 jet on order , should be in by the weekend.
