Cashing out

I really think my motor is about to cash out. Done all the tunning I can there is and it just does not have the ***** it once did. Its a 2000 with a **** load of hours. My question is...will a top end kit fix all of this or would I need to go more internal? I wanna get a whole new fiddie but dont think its worth it, better to fix and maybe spend the money I would have spent on bore kit. I just want it to last awhile longer. and by the way my clutch is going right along with the motor...or is it the motor making me think that.

Re: Cashing out

If your motors weak a new top end will fix it, as long as you changed the oil your bottom end should be fine, If your clutch is weak you'll know it with a bbk, have you tried adjusting the clutch? After a BBK you should put a heavy duty clutch in it anyways

yep, thing runs great now and the bike would hardly wheelie in second gear before that. pesonally I would go ahead and put in a heavy duty clutch and oil pump when you rebuild because you'll do it eventually for a big bore. go to www.dratv.com for the piston, rings, and gaskets. I got the oil pump and hd clutch(kitaco) from www.hondaminitrail.com I think I spent a total of $180 to rebuild but $150 was in the clutch and pump

Cool! that got me pumped up. I figure I will be more happy with a BBK and that Ishock I've always wanted. Forget a new one, for what? its the same thing just new plastic. :YEAH THANKS
