--- My Custom Bike Work, Feb. '05---

After about 5 weeks of downtime, the bike is finally back together and ready to rock! My buddy Derek (Fuscat) was a huge help and really did a great job.

Here's a list of upgrades.
Frame:
-custom welded supports
-custom bolt on supports
-paint (self etching primer & Rustoleum paint)
Suspension:
-Sik 50s front springs
-Sik 50s rear spring
Misc:
-custom light setup (including Moose Racing voltage pack)
-custom fork stiffeners
-new grips (Progrips)
-chrome bar ends
-black seat cover

--- Pics ---

Will do. Keep in mind this wasn't the typical rattle can job. I had the frame sandblasted, then coated with a self etching primer (basically what's put on an auto). I believe the primer cost alone was around $30, but not exactly sure. Then I put 4 cans of Rustoleum spray paint topped off with 2 cans of Rustoleum acrylic clear coat.

Really, the only difference between this job and a car painter doing it is the paint. Car paint is harder and more durable (for obvious reasons) than spray paint from a rattle can.

Well, the light will be added this week. I'm waiting for the bracket to come back from the powder coaters. I'll take more pics when it's installed.

Well, I didn't take any pics of of those (probably should have, haha). A few months ago Fuscat made his own using hex (6 sided) stock bar. Using the grinder, we took off a little bit of the edges in order to get it to go down into the lower fork tube. He might have some pictures from his stiffners ... I'll ask.

Re: --- My Custom Bike Work, Feb. '05---

I was a dumbass yesterday and had my camera settings wrong. Here are some better pics of the finished product. I zoomed in on the frame supports, the key & light switch location, and the paint job.
