I have a crf80 and the thing wont start. It backfires alot and when I do get it started it will only run for like a minute. Anybody know what could be wrong with it? Thanks

The plug has spark (almost band new), fooled around with the jetting, has gas kicked that biyatch for like an hour and nothing.

Re: 80 wont start

Never hurts to run a bit of carb cleaner through it. I got a bottle the other day and it's for cars so the little $4 bottle got into my Z400, my Ozark, my fiddy, and my tractor. Even on my Z which is only 3 or 4 months old and the fiddy only a year old it gave a noticeable power gain and ran 100x better. It's a good investment.

Re: 80 wont start

You are jetted lean or your vavles are shot. If you constantly rev the crap outa it (you hit rev limiter alot) its prolly your valves. If not, play with the air screw and get a richer main.
