That is incorrect my friend, Maybe they gave you a hard time cause of the location you went to. But I just helped my friend register his "rebuilt" gsxr600. they want pics of the damage befor you fix it, then an inspection to make sure it is road legal. Meaning atleast one mirror an working dot approved run/brake lights headlight(s) an signals. check the serial numbers on the frame, an the engine. If you change a major part like the frame or engine, they will be more strict, but If your clever then its easy to get thru, They dont need to hear or see it run, they don't care if it does. Just that it is safe enough to opperate on the road. I mean life is all about loop holes, I Have even figured out how to register a 4wheeler an get tags. Just not how to get around the cops with it they don't tend to be as dumb.
