The Florida BullShit Thread
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
alan you will need to disable the pair valve by unplugging it so it stays open , now i don't know if that will mess with your computer or not you could replace it with a plastic t and leave it plugged in to fool your computer but i don't know if you need to do that or not , i would unplug it and try it out ...
as far as connecting the two hose with the brake hose as long as you have enough of it shoved in there so it wont come out it should be fine but a piece of steel tubing or eletrical conduit and a couple hose clamps would work better , you can,t use hose clamps on it the way you have it now or you will collapse the hose

Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
the pair valve in stock form will open and close and you don't want that because in the closed position it will create pressure in the motor because you are bypassing the air box so you need the pair valve to be open , if you have the pair valve in your hand you will need to be able to blow through it with no restriction ...
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
Thanks roger. I get what your saying. I'm gunna see if I can find anything else lying around that I can connect it with.
I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to put some kind of adhesive on the brake hose before I slide it into the other hoses would it?

Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
no you don't want any thing like that possibly getting in your reed valves ...
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
If its not pluged in, then it should keep it open right? How come when the bike is off and I blow into the valve there is a very slight resistance (it makes a noise), shouldn't it be open if the bike off.
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
if there is resistance you may want to replace it with a pcv t fitting or maybe try turning the key on and unplugging it to see if that opens it all the way
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
Thanks, I'll keep fooling with it.
I'm just trying to avoid a trip to the store. Last time I did it on the 636, they didn't have the stuff I needed at auto zone. This town sucks.

Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
well it looks like a simple 12 v motor that opens and closes the valve so just make sure it's open my spinning the motor forward or backward
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
Ok, I took the valve all the way off. I can blow through it just fine. The slight pressure comes once I have it hooked up to the motor, the resistance that I get comes from the inside of the motor.
If that makes sense.
