Yeah dude...I hate to admint this being so close but I didnt make it to Daytona this year but I heard the turn out for the 200 was really low due to high fuel prices. People just cant afford fun at the moment I guess.

The only thing is I would worry about is the school systems... Tons of drugs and crime I love it here but would not wanna raise a child here......

 

thats a big deal to me....my 3yr old is FIRST priority to me!!! If I have to go the private school route,I guess thats what I will have to do.Are there any certain public schools in the are that are better than others?

I really dont know I have just seen some really shitty little punk *** kids in our hood (thats actually really nice) and I would not want them near my child its very much up to you who your kid hangs out with.....but you cant be with Him/Her all the time(durring school) so I would look private if you could afford it....

 

I can't afford it,thats for sure!!! But I will do what I have to do to give my boy every opportunity to not take the path's that I took growing up.I bet if it wasn't for the high school I went to,I wouldn't have done half the **** I did.But hell,you live and you learn.Drugs are really my main concern.I know he is gonna get in some trouble,we are boys and thats what we do! I was fucked up on coke and pills all thru high school and just ended up dropping out because I missed so much anyway.I refuse to let that happen to my kid!!! Drugs and punk *** kids are everywhere ya know,certainly here in Durham.Thats why were so gun ho to take the job to get the **** away from this ****.I don't know a whole lot about FL,but it would be hard for me to beleive that its worse than this shithole.There are at least 2 to 3 murder stories every single ****** night on the local news here.Not to mention the other fucked crimes like nannys beating kids,rape....jesus christ ,it seems likesome poor girl gets raped every 2 hours in this town!! Are mother ******* so lazy they can't go to the bar,spend a couple bucks on drinks,sweet talk some girl and get some like all of us do (or did).Its embarrassing to live here.We have some great colleges here like Duke,Carolina(unc),NC state...all of these high dollar schools and still more crime than Maryland!!! I don't get it? Hopefully FL will turn out to be a better place for my kid to grow up...

Sorry for the rant,but this ******* place pisses me the **** off!

 

winter park schools and conway schools are the best in the orlando area. i live in conway and it is not bad. if i could afford it i would live in winter park. when you get down here hit me up my wife can tell you all about what schools not to attend. that was a big factor when we bought our house. We are thinking about moving to NC in 2 years or so Charlotte. is it that bad there also

Charlotte sucks too.In fact it may even be worse than Durham.You really,really need to do your research on which area you want to move too....There are really good spots,then there are really,really,really bad spots! I have only been to Charlotte about 30 times,for work,concerts races,etc......never lived there,but I know people that have lived there and they moved to Durham knowing the crime and **** we have here.Charlotte is just like anywhere else thou,you get what you pay for.Spend alot,get in a good area......Spend a little.....save money for ammo!!!!!!Do some research,I think Charlotte was recently voted #5 on the worst city's in the US to live in! I'm not trying to scare you or anything N.C. is awesome to live in,some areas just really ******* suck!If you are able to move east of Raleigh I would recommend that.The NC coast is awesome to live in.I'm sure your gonna move to Charlotte for reason,but I would take alot of time to research the area's before packing the truck up and heading this way!!!!!!!!!!

 

Been here since August '04... I still enjoy alot of the things Central Florida has to offer.

A new school was built here in Apopka. Finished about six months ago. Its in a nice area. I dont know the details on why they built it but you should check it out. DOnt know much about schools systems.

No,they ended up transferring her to her Morehead City N.C.They fired the manager of that store while we were in Orlando looking at houses.Its a cool place but its not FL!!!!We actually close on our house tomorrow.And if I had moved to FL,you would have been the first to know Mike,cause I would have been at your house buyin that sweet *** 929!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
