Talking Have heard only great things...

about all you guys here...One of your favorite board members has brought me to this little online world of yours. Our mutual friend has nothing bad to say about any of you.. well.. maybe one or two. LOL jk

I just started riding... and have wanted to since I was um...12, so finally.. I'm ready ~ I'm hoping to not only make some new friends.. but to be able to learn from all of you at the same time as well.!

I went out bike shopping alone.. as my non-bike riding friends only know the difference between Louis Vuitton & Coach, so I couldnt really ask for their advice.. so I ended up with a Ninja 250.. yeah yeah yeah.. I know.. my bad! Anyway, now that I have been reamed a new as*hole for buying such a pansy bike by this wonderful friend of mine..but.. I figure I'll keep it for 6 months.. and by then I should atleast know what I'm doing and get a bigger bike. I laid it down already.. not much damage thank god..I did thatwith only 20 miles on her.. and I'm pretty sure it was becasue i was just in too much of a hurry. I was just driving to the tanning salon.. and figured "eh.. no need for that HOT *** jacket" .. again.. my bad! So I'm all healed.. rode for 4 hours yesterday.. and 3 today.. and am going to for a little each day.

I was told by "our friend" that I'm not ready to travel distance yet.. 95 or the T-pike.. so i guess for now, I can't really join in on any of your get togethers. Maybe after a few weeks.. and if any of you guys DOWN MY DIRECTION.. (Coral Springs/Tamarac) can come and scoop me up for ride time.. it will help a little, =)

I don't expect to rush.. but I don't want to be a "NOOBIE" for ever.! Maybe one day.. I'll even Pop A Wheelie. LOL..!

Oh.. and Thanks for riding ALL THE WAY down here yesterday to ride with me.. thats why your such a good friend!

PS... Turned 33 yesterday..

Welcome. I hope your lil incident did not discourage you. it seems all riders will go down once. Hope thats your 1and only time. Just keep putting miles on that bike and some experience under your belt and you should do just fine. peeps still meet up but not like in the past. The bike nights around here kinda fizzled so thats put a damper on things for now. good luck

Re: Have heard only great things...

Thanks for the welcome. It hasn't discouraged me... as I just get excited every time I think of getting to ride. This shitty weather sure doesn't help much, but whatever. More time to spend in the mall. It seems that there are only a few girls here... so its nice to be welcomed.~ TY =)

I have been looking at different bikes to buy.. maybe it would be easier if I learn on a bigger bike.. and get used to it rather than learn on the easy bike, only to have to re-learn on the bigger bike in 6 months... any ideas?

Princess I think is closer to me than most of you guys.. maybe she can come by and riiiide with me. =)

Ill bring my camcorder and digital camera (by car for now. LOL) next time you guys do the Sunday School thing, and I'll take some good pics and videos of all of you ... that way you can all be int he pics .. and no one will have to sit out~

Welcome!!

I'm in Pines. I go to the Pines Hooters every week so if you ever wanna ride, let me know (weather permitting).

About the bike situation, I started off on a 92 F2 (Honda CBR600) so I'm not going to knock it, however, you already have the 250, I would suggest you keep it for a couple months, get use to the riding sceen and a few months from now (or if you come across a good deal) get what you feel comfortable with, it doesn't have to be a 600, maybe a 500 or maybe you'll like the 250. It's all about you, no one else will be riding your bike for you. Good Luck and I'm sure we'll be meeting soon!

Welcome to the boards. Definately take the time and get used to a bike, then get bigger. Getting hurt is no fun and starting off too big us just asking for it.

I agree 100% right now you just want to learn the fundamentals of riding a motorcycle And gather as much experience as you can.

Re: Have heard only great things...

I learned on a 600 for a few months and had no problem moving to my 929 and riding a couple 1000s. I went back to the 600 though cause I didn't feel like I needed that much power. I'd say keep the 250 til it bores you... I don't really believe in riding bikes that small cause I've had people come up on my *** VERY fast and I'm glad I had the power to get the hell out of the way!!

I heard the 250s are actually bigger in size and weight than most 600s is that right guys?

Re: Have heard only great things...

think of it like plasma tv's......

you can handle the co$t of the 30 inch Enhanced Definition and it is "okay" but there is no replacing the power and impressiveness 52 inch HD plasma

but they all do basically the same thing = give us enjoyment!
run what ya brung sista! you can always put a new bike on your x-mas list! :YEAH :YEAH
