??? about Title laws in FL

I'm heading to the Orlando area as soon as my house in Co. sells. I've got a few bikes some of which have salvage titles. Does Fl allow U to register salvage bikes or should I sell em here? Also what are the handgun rules? Do U need a concealed weapon permit to own (like NY) or will they honor a Co permit? Thanks for the heads up.

You can get a CWP in Florida, you must, however take the class, and pass a background check. I don't know how they would go about transferring your CWP from another state.

I can not help you with the title question.

You don't need a concealed weapons permit to own a hand gun.

I don't know much about CWP's so this site looks like it could answer a few questions: http://www.packing.org

As far as Salvage titles I have an '01 F4i, '02 GSXR6, '03 ZX6RR All are in like new condition but I know that Fl usually issues a CD title so I didn't know if DMV would allow U to register em. They're all on the road here so maybe Fl will overlook the salvage part. I also have a '99 900RR + '03 954 but those have clean titles so I'm not worried about them.

you could just try to bring em, and if it doesnt work just sell em here. florida could use the extra stuntbikes anyway

I have a dealers lic here so I might come back every few months + pick up 8-10 to sell off. Most r insurance claims (cosmetic) so they're perfect for stunt.

salvage titles have to go through a inspection. pictures, reciepts they run the frame and engine #s so every thing has to be clean. but there are alot of racers in fl salvage titles still get good money, but whats up with the f4i.

What R U asking???? R U asking if the F4i is for sale? If I bring it w/me I'll prob keep it. I might sell it off here along w/some others so that I don't need a trailor just for bikes.

Re: ??? about Title laws in FL

I have a concealed weapons permit, and the only major thing you need to worry about is how you're going to transport the weapon(s) you're bringing to FL. Basically, the only states you'll have to worry about are NM, KS, and SC which do not have reciprocity with Florida. Other than that, the basics are the same here in FL. During transport, just keep everything out of sight and you'll be fine. Many people here in Florida think that there is some sort of three step rule, but that is only a myth once you have your permit. I would however have the permit transfered to your Florida address ASAP once you get here. FDLE has a grace period that has some loop holes, but better safe than get pulled over in a year and have to explain why your documentation doesn't match. Also in FL, you do not have to tell a LEO that you're carrying and it against the law for them to ask technically. I personally tell them in advance so there are never any supprises. If you have any other questions about concealed carry in FL, feel free to ask. If I can't answer your questions, I have a lawyer and NRA instructor who can.

The bank repo's are slim, most of the Dealershipps get em back but I do come across em from time to time. Most of what I get is insurance claims. U can check em out at www.klode.com Go to the sale dates + check listed by make as there are cars listed as well. The bikes are usually every other week, so if U don't see any bikes on that sale date check the next week.

I'll be moving to the Orlando area as I've got a 2 1/2 yr + 6 mo old so I want to keep em more inland.
