vegas video 4.0

 

use the A/B editing workspace, its alot easier to deal with, keeps the video and transitions on a different line

 

Not to confuse all of you, but I ain't using premiere anymore. I got vegas video 4 and I'm having a problem with it reading my .avi's. It only gets the sound from the .avi's. Any idea why?

 

How are you capturing from your camerea...
does the file playback outside of the respective app(s) be it premiere or vegas?

 

I take it off my camera with my camera software, then I try and open it in vegas and no dice. It plays wmv's fine though and it seem sto be some pretty cool software so I wish it would work.

 

just wondering do you guys upload from regular cameras and the quality is good still??

 

firewire? or analog? have you tried capturing right to vegas or premiere?

Premiere is nice, it has good effects and it's not that hard to learn with...

MGI Videowave is too simple, it's nice if you want just to put some clips together and do some transitions but that's all.

 

throw the software from the camera in the trash, delete it from the computer, and use the capture window from premier, that is your problem

 

Yo guys from reckless, I am going to try and lear 12's on friday I took it off from work. I am going to the Hanson Industrial park, near Tri_town, I'm sure you know where that is. If you want to show up that be cool. I need someone to give me some pointers when I fall on my ***, over and over and over......

 

Gotta give you that. It is a pain to find some of the software for the MAC sometimes. They do finally have some good cards for 3D on the horizon but it will still be a little while before they have those. I was glad to see them give the option of using some of the higher end Nvidia cards but again...it will still be a little while before they have the really good cards ( Nvidia or otherwise). For 3D...yeah, the Maya port sucks from what I hear (never even bothered trying it on the MAC side) but Lightwave works well on the MAC (despite some of the issues) and supposedly Cinama 4D as well, but I do not use Cinema so I can only go on hearsay.

I guess it all depends on usage. The discreet stuff is not going to rush to the MAC especially since MAC now has shake which competes with some of the Discreet stuff directly.

Have you used Avid Xpress any? My company is considering buying one but I really do not know enough about it to make any solid recommnedations?

Hi dudes, just got my hands on Sonic Foundry Vegas 4 and I must say I like it a lot. Much easier to use than adobe premiere

Just a little question conserning vegas 4: How can I make a moving blur to block the reg plates I wasn't able to find it out yet, is there a easy way to do it, perhaps a plug-in?
